Beaches and Golf Courses

Mazarrón Beaches
There is 35 km of beaches that stretch the coastline of Mazarrón but not all of them are sandy as one may expect. The beaches of Bolnuevo and many that are along this particular coastline are course grit, this is due to the rocky coves and mining that dates back to the Carthaginian era (7th-3rd Centuries BC). There are over 30 beaches along the 35 km coastline with some of the popular sandy beaches being Playa de Bahia, Playa de Nares and Playa de la Ermita. Located 10 km inland you can find the impressive Camposol Club de Golf course which is an 18 hole par 72 course. There are many other local golf courses located more inland, for those that visit the area for golf holidays should definitely make the 60 km drive northwards to La Manga del Mar Menor where you can find the “Nicklaus Trail” with many great courses.
