Sa Coma is a popular destination with British holidaymakers. This resort lies on the eastern coast of Majorca, south of Cala Millor.
Sa Coma is one of the newer resorts here. Development did not begin until the mid 1980’s. It’s popularity has been growing in recent times which has seen the building of more hotels. This resort now enjoys a steady influx of visitors each year.
Sa Coma Beach & Promenade
Sa Coma’s pretty beach has a promenade which runs alongside. On this promenade, visitors will find a few bars, restaurants and a further choice in the resort’s centre.
The usual facilities of sun beds and parasols are available here. There are also pedalos for the young ones and a small selection of water activities. This beach is among the most popular in Majorca with a good length of just under 1 kilometre. Playa Sa Coma is also quite wide in places with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The water is also shallow making it idea for children.
Nightlife & Entertainment in Sa Coma
Sa Coma is not a resort that boasts a huge amount of nightlife. This resort is more for those that seek a relaxing holiday away from the noise. There are a few bars here but many are inside the hotels complexes.
The only club is this area is Espace which charges a small entry fee. You do get a drink with this charge if you fancy a little late night dancing.
Most tend to head towards Cala Millor if they want extended nightlife. This resort has many more bars and clubs for late night entertainment. La Havana and the Chaplin Music Bar are two places you may wish to check out.
A good idea for a family day out is to stock up on picnic items and snorkelling gear. A good place to head to is the Punta de n’Amer headland. Here you will find a number of hiking trails and rocky coves to explore. There is also a well preserved fortress here. If you don’t fancy lugging a picnic cooler box, the Es Castell Cafe Bar serves great food.
Safari Zoo For Family Fun
Further family fun in Sa Coma includes the exciting Auto Safari Zoo. This attraction offers the option of driving around the park in their own vehicle. You can also tour the enclosures on the Safari Train.
The zoo is within a short drive or long walk from the resort’s centre. Most visitors tend to take the handy courtesy bus that runs throughout the day.
